I run NS Transform and AnandBodh. Both are built on this sentence.

Nobody is short of advice. Everyone is short of delivery.

It came from two floors that turned out to be the same floor. On the agency floor I watched founders who had every answer available inside an hour and still had not moved a decision from Monday to Friday. On the wellness floor I watched people who knew exactly what sleep and movement and sunlight would do for them and had not done any of it since March. Different industries. Identical gap. Nobody lacked the knowing. Everybody lacked the thing that puts the knowing in front of the right hand at the right hour and comes back to check.

It rules out the next book. It rules out the next programme that commits you on day one and is gone by day nine. It rules out the podcast, the panel, and most of what I have said in meetings for twenty years. If the advice already exists then more advice is not the product. The product is the reminder, the person who asks, and a price for not answering.

It costs you the stage. Delivery is unglamorous and nobody invites you to speak about it. It means building the boring thing — the call that comes when it said it would, the ledger nobody reads until it matters — and then running it for months before anything shows. NS Transform is built on this sentence. So is AnandBodh. I would rather be the person who checked on Thursday than the one who was quoted on Monday.
