निवेशInvestorReady™ Scorecard

What a company has to be before anyone writes a cheque.

Eight questions, five minutes, a frank reading. The scorecard reads a startup the way an investor does, on its pitch, its projections and its plan, and sends back what it found and what to fix first.

What it is

The first meeting is short.

Most pitches are decided in the first few minutes, and most that fail do not fail on the idea. They fail on a question the founder had not yet asked themselves. The scorecard asks it first.

  • 8

    questions

on the pitch, the projections and the plan.

  • 5

    minutes

is what the scorecard takes to answer.

  • 3

    elements

are scored, the way an investor scores them.

  • 1

    written report

comes back, with what to fix first.

Core assessment

We score your business on three core elements.

Three things an investor is actually scoring while you speak. A written report comes back on each.

  • One

    Your pitch

Your ability to communicate with clarity and enrol investors into your vision.

  • Two

    Your projections

Your ability to show that you understand the financial risk and the reward.

  • Three

    Your plan

Your ability to show the steps you will take to reach commercial success.

Investment assessment

How we calculate your startup's investability.

Investors are particular about what they back. The reading covers the standard markers and the few criteria that decide a first cheque, with no weighting hidden.

  • Validity

    The Business

Where your organisation is right now in its own journey.

  • Strategy

    The Plan

How you are positioning your business and what it needs.

  • Bull's eye

    The Goal

Clarity on precisely what you set out to achieve with a cash boost.

  • Valuation

    The Ask

Confidence and knowledge about the money you seek and why.

From the makers

The scorecard was written by people who have sat on both sides of the table: founders who raised, and the operator and board members who read the decks. It scores what they looked for, not what a founder hopes they looked for.

Before you start

Tick every line that is true.

Four plain statements. The more of them that are true, the more the scorecard can tell you.

If you ticked any of the lines you have three options.

  • Option one

    Do nothing

Decide the company is not ready to raise, and keep building. A fair choice, and the scorecard will tell you if it is the right one.

  • Option two

Pitch and learn in the room

Take the meetings and find out what is missing from the silence afterwards. It works, slowly, and it spends the introductions you only get once.

  • Option three

    Read the scorecard first

Five minutes now, before the meetings, so the first investor hears the version that has already answered the hard question.

What you get

A score, and the reason for it.

A number on its own is a verdict. The report says which of the three elements lost the marks and what would change it, so the next version of the pitch is a better one.

  • I want to raise, and soon

The round is planned for the next twelve months.

  • The company has revenue

Customers pay for it today, however little.

  • The projections exist in a spreadsheet

Not a deck slide. A model someone can change a cell in.

  • I have pitched before

And can say in one line why it did not close.

Five minutes

Read the scorecard.

Eight questions. The report comes to your inbox within the day, written, not generated.
